As the Art Director of the indie 3D Concert project Trails of Flame, Unnämed 3D One Man Live Tour, StillSameShark provides a one-stop solution for 3D live performance.
The entire stage engine was built from scratch with Unreal Engine. StillSameShark not only covers 3D modeling, texturing, shaders, lighting, and stage VFX but also creates an engine that streams motion capture data for the 3D avatar, OSC communication, and DMX lighting, ensuring seamless synchronization between virtual and real-world elements.
Through bold and experimental development, this project delivers an immersive, dynamic concert experience, pushing the boundaries of virtual performance and redefining what’s possible in indie music performance.
Bridging Reality and Virtuality
DMX console data is streamed into Unreal Engine, enabling real-world stage lighting to seamlessly blend with the virtual set.
Unnämed performs in real-time, with live motion capture translating every movement into the their 3D avatar. This allows for spontaneous, dynamic performances that evolve with the energy of the moment.
Custom-Built Control System
To further enhance the experience, StillSameShark developed a bespoke OSC panel to control the virtual environment, including lighting, VFX, the avatar's outfit, and stage sets — all synchronized with the live performance.
A Dreamlike Experience
Offering fans a stunning, cross-dimensional experience that feels as resonant as a traditional concert, Trails of Flame seamlessly merges the best of both worlds — the raw energy of live performance with the limitless possibilities of the virtual realm.
PROMOTIONAL VIDEO ANIAMTION
